The Grand Indian Dining: Authentic Indian Cuisine in Toronto

Grand Indian Restaurant turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations going in — it’s a small, modest-looking place and I happened to visit pretty late at night. But the food completely changed my impression. Every dish we tried was full of flavor and clearly made with care. The taste was genuinely impressive and far exceeded what I anticipated. What stood out the most was the chef’s involvement. He personally asked for feedback and genuinely took our preferences into account while preparing the food. That kind of dedication is rare and really added a personal touch to the whole experience. It felt like they actually cared about serving good food and making sure we were satisfied. Although I didn’t manage to take many pictures — mostly because I was too tired and it was quite late — I can confidently say the food was picture-worthy. It’s one of those places that doesn’t rely on looks or hype but wins you over with quality and service. If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with heart and flavor, Grand Indian Restaurant is worth checking out. Don’t let the size of the place fool you — the taste speaks for itself.

This was my first time and it was a fantastic experience. The food was amazing!! I had the Lamb Biryani, dal tadka, paneer kofta, tandoori naan and raita. I highly recommend this restaurant. The servers are very professional and friendly. The owner went above and beyond to meet our expectations. I'm definitely going to be coming back with more family member. The Rus Malai was the best I've ever tasted in a very long time. You have to try it!

One of the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to! The food was AMAZING: tender meat, packed with flavours, very rich and creamy curry. Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the fish and chips and the green sauce that came with it. Also my favourite was the mutton curry. Perfect flavour. I asked for mild and it was on point. I don't usually eat Indian food but I was happy that my friends brough me here! Cheers

We got the Delhi wala butter chicken, rice, roti and gulab jamun, it was sooo tasty. The server was really sweet, and we got to sit outside on the patio. It had just started to rain a bit but our server made sure we were tucked nicely under the umbrella. We got to watch all the hustle and bustle of queen street and had a lovely couple sat next to us. They had travelled from India and also gave it a stamp of approval! Would definitely recommend. With tip it was $55 for both of us, and I was stuffed! Everything was so flavourful and well priced, we will be coming back for sure!

The Grand Indian Dining has a cozy vibe with excellent food and even better service! Don't blink, or you may walk by this excellent and authentic Indian Restaurant. Highly recommend!

We just had the best experience at The Grand Indian Dining! Everything was amazingly delicious. From the bread to the sauces to the dessert, everything is and felt homemade. The flavors are well balanced and the dishes are not to heavy. Great portions as well. The service was also amazing, polite and discret but very attentive to our needs and questions. We’ll come again!

Highly recommend. I’m so glad to have discovered this gem of a restaurant, such a cozy place with delicious authentic flavours and I was surprised to see such amazing Parathas and Naan that I have never had anywhere else in Canada. The service was excellent, top notch hospitality and the owner was too sweet who made our experience even better! Would visit again.
